About Positive Futures
The overall aim of the Group is to help families in Bath and Bath and North East Somerset better understand and manage the effects of parental mental illness on family relationships, with particular emphasis on children.
Positive Futures is a self-sustaining, peer support group, which means that it is run by and for parents with mental health issues supported, on occasions, by volunteer facilitators.
Positive Futures grew from a project called "Stepping Stones", which is funded by B&NES council and which offers peer support groups for parents, plus groups which parents attend with their child or children. Further information on Stepping Stones can be found from the relevant contacts in the links section of this website.
